The William Smith College soccer team is ranked No. 8 in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches poll and 10th in the D3soccer.com poll this week. The Herons will host a pair of Liberty League matches this week on Cozzens Field.

William Smith (5-2-0, 1-0-0) went 1-1-0 last week. The Herons wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule last Wednesday in Dallas, Pa. William Smith was topped by then No. 24 Misericordia 2-1. The Cougars struck twice in the second half as they rallied past the Herons. William Smith opened Liberty League play on Saturday, Sept. 22, with a 1-0 win at Skidmore. Sophomore
Julia Keogh earned a spot on the Liberty League's weekly honor roll after scoring the game-winning goal against the Thoroughbreds.

Keogh leads the team offensively with four goals and nine points through seven games. Â

Amanda Kesler has played a majority of the minutes in goal for the Herons. She is 4-2-0 with a 0.66 goals against average and a .714 save percentage.

Rochester Institute of Technology comes to Cozzens Field tomorrow, Sept. 25. The Tigers are 4-2-0 and 0-1-0 in the Liberty League. RIT is coming off a 2-0 loss to Vassar on Saturday. Marla Roberts leads the team with three goals and seven points. Lauren Zeglen has recorded a team-high three assists. Ingrida Ivaska and Alyssa Salls have split time in goal for the Tigers. Ivaska is 2-2-0 with a 0.82 GAA and a .750 save percentage while Salls is 2-0-0 with a 1.20 GAA and a .769 save percentage.

The Herons will welcome Bard to Geneva for Homecoming and Family Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 29. The Raptors are 4-3-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the Liberty League. Bard dropped its conference opener to Rensselaer 2-1 on Saturday. Dylan McDonald leads the team with five goals and 11 points. Val Thomson has a team best three assists. Abigail Stanley has played a majority of the minutes in goal for the Raptors. She is 4-3-1 with 1.29 GAAand a .756 save percentage.
