Hobart hockey game rescheduled for Jan. 21

The Hobart College hockey team's game against Skidmore has been rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 21 at The Cooler. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19 but was postponed due to Winter Storm Harper. Faceoff on Monday is scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission to tonight's game is free. 
 
The Statesmen and Thoroughbreds met on Friday night in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. After falling behind 1-0, Skidmore rattled off three unanswered goals and held on to defeat Hobart 3-2. The Thoroughbred's Reid Russell led all players with two assists. First-year Aaron Maguyon and junior Will Harrison scored for the Statesmen.
 
Hobart is 12-6-0 overall and 6-5-0 in New England Hockey Conference play. The Statesmen currently sit in sixth place in the conference standings. Skidmore is 10-6-2 overall and 6-3-2 in the NEHC. The Thoroughbreds are tied for fourth. The top six teams in the conference are separated by eight points, while spots 3-6 in the standings are separated by three points.
 
Fans unable to make it to The Cooler on Friday night can follow the action online with HWS All-Access video and Live Stats. The game will also be ebroadcast live on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).
