The Hobart College hockey team will welcome Babson and UMass Boston to the Cooler for a pair of New England Hockey Conference contests this weekend. The Statesmen are ranked 14th in the nation in the latest USCHO.com poll and receiving votes in the D3hockey.com poll.

This weekend marks Hobart hockey's annual Alumni Weekend. On Friday, Feb. 1, the Statesmen will host the Beavers (15-4-2, 10-2-2) at 7 p.m. Following the game, Hobart hockey alumni will have a gathering at Eddie O'Brien's. The alumni game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. The current Statesmen will take on the Beacons (16-5-0, 12-2-0) at 4 p.m.

Hobart brings a 14-6-1 overall record and an 8-5-1 mark in conference play into this weekend's games. The Statesmen are currently fifth in the NEHC standings with 17 points. Entering the weekend, Hobart sits atop the NEHC and are fifth in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 4.10 goals per game. Zach Tyson are tied for the team lead with 21 points each. Toupal has 10 goals and 11 assists while Tyson has five goals and 16 assists. Tyson ranks fifth in Division III in rookie scoring (1.00 ppg). Junior

Liam Lascelle have split time in goal this season. Connal is 7-5-0 with a 2.37 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. Lascelle is 5-1-1 with a 1.99 GAA and a .918 save percentage.

Babson is currently second in the NEHC standing with 19 points. The Beavers are ranked 12th in the USCHO.com poll and 13th in the D3hockey.com poll. Nick Rosa leads Babson with 25 points on 12 goals and 13 assists. Matt Wiesner has a team best 14 goals this season. Bryan Butcher and Matt Pompa have split time in goal for the Beavers this season. Butcher is 8-2-1 with a 1.97 GAA and a .927 save percentage. Pompa is 7-2-1 with a 2.98 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

UMass Boston will be at Skidmore on Friday night. The Beacons sit atop the conference standings with 24 points. They are ranked seventh in the USCHO.com poll and ninth in the D3hockey.com poll. Entering the weekend, Nolan Redler leads the team with 10 goals, 15 assists and 25 points. Daniel Nachbaur is right behind him with 19 points (8g, 11a). Bailey MacBurnie has played a majority of the minutes in goal. He is 15-4-0 with a 1.59 GAA and a .934 save percentage. He leads the NEHC in both categories.
