ANNANDALE-on-HUDSON, N.Y.—The William Smith College basketball team completed a Liberty League weekend sweep with a dominant victory over Bard College this afternoon. A few hours removed from eking out a two-point win at Skidmore, the Herons cruised by the Raptors 90-54.
William Smith (5-2, 2-0) shot a season-high 49.3 percent from the field and dished out a season-high 21 assists. The Herons continued their tough play on the boards, grabbing at least 50 rebounds for the third time in the past four games. William Smith outrebounded Bard 50-28.
First-year forward
Lauren DeVaney led all scorers with 26 points to go with eight rebounds. Sophomore
Olivia Parisi added 23 points and a game-high 17 boards. Sophomore
Stella Davis turned in a dynamic performance, finishing with 16 points, seven rebounds, a team-high six assists, three steals and two blocked shots. Senior

Isabella Mitrow each chipped in nine points.
For the Raptors (4-4, 0-2), Christina Kiser had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Olivia Couture and Marissa Munsell chipped in 12 points and 11 points, respectively.
The Herons seized control of the game with an 11-3 run to end the first quarter. DeVaney fueled the run with a traditional 3-point play and a layup before the buzzer to send William Smith into the second quarter with a 20-11 lead. The Herons kept their foot on the gas to start the second stanza, blowing the game wide open with a 12-3 run. Parisi contributed three layups during the push. DeVaney scored eight of the final 13 points of the half, giving William Smith a 40-21 halftime lead.
DeVaney had a game-high 15 points in the first half with Parisi just behind her at 14 points.
The Raptors were unable to mount any kind of a challenge to the Herons in the second half. William Smith outscored its host 27-15 in the third quarter and closed out the game with a 23-18 edge in the fourth quarter.
The Herons will return to Bristol Gym to close out the 2019 portion of its schedule, hosting Hamilton at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.
