GENEVA, N.Y.-The Hobart College ice hockey team scored the game's final three goals as they knocked off Suffolk 5-3 in a New England College Hockey Conference contest at The Cooler this afternoon. With the win, the Statesmen conclude the regular season with a 17-6-2 overall record and an 11-5-2 record in conference play.

Will Harrison led the way for Hobart, registering a pair of goals in the victory. Senior

PA Martineau (2a) also had multi-point games for the Statesmen. Junior
Alexander Connal started in goal and stopped 27 shots as he earned his eighth win of the season. LJ Fellows notched a goal and an assist for Suffolk (8-16-0, 5-13-0). Michael Levine made 53 saves in the losing effort.
Hobart opened the scoring at the 5:26 mark of the first period when senior
Jonas Toupal fired home his 12th goal of the season. Sternbach and Martineau were credited with assists on the goal. Sternbach broke down the right wing and sent a cross ice pass to Toupal on the left goal post. Toupal one-timed the shot into the back of the net. The Statesmen continued to pile up the pressure in the first period, outshooting the Rams 23-7.
Hobart doubled its lead just over two minutes into the second period. Harrison collected a pass from Bistodeau in the slot and wristed it over Levine's glove for his ninth goal of the season.
Suffolk scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-2 lead 13 minutes into the middle period. Fellows started the rally with his fourth goal of the season. He fired a shot from the point through traffic and past Connal. Nick Abbene was credited with an assist on the goal. Just under two minutes later, Fellows set up a Mikhail Bryan one-timer that tied the game at two. The goal was Bryan's ninth goal of the season. Phil Kreuser put the Rams in front with a shorthanded goal at the 12:45 mark of the period. He broke up a pass attempt at his own blue line, raced the length of the rink and slipped a backhanded shot past Connal. It was Krueser's second goal of the season.
Sternbach's eighth goal of the season tied the game at three at the 17:36 mark of the second period. He wristed a shot from the left faceoff circle into the upper left corner of the goal. Martineau and first-year
Chase Bell were credited with assists on the goal.
First-year
Aaron Maguyon scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal at the 17:38 mark of the third period. The game appeared to be headed to overtime, but Maguyon forced a turnover in the offensive zone with a hard forecheck. He fired a low snap shot from the slot past Levine for his 10th goal of the season. First-year

Travis Schneider were credited with assists on the goal. It was Maguyon's team-leading fourth game-winning goal of the season. Harrison iced the game for the Statesmen with an empty-net goal. Bistodeau and sophomore

Hobart finished the game with a 58-30 edge in shots on goal. The Statesmen were 1-for-6 on the power play and the Rams were 0-for-3.
Hobart finished the regular season fourth in the NEHC standings with 24 points. The Statesmen will be back in action next Saturday, Feb. 16, for a NEHC Quarterfinal contest.
