GENEVA, N.Y. —The Hobart College tennis team defeated Hamilton 7-2 this afternoon inside Bristol Field House. The Statesmen improve to 4-2 overall, and the Continentals fall to 0-1.
Senior
Alan Dubrovsky broke Hobart Hall of Famer Adam Schapiro's career singles record (75) with a win in singles play. Dubrovsky needs two more singles wins to break Hobart's career singles record (77) held by Peter Piné '05.
Hobart was ranked 34th in the latest Oracle/ITA Division III Team rankings.

In singles play, Dubrovsky defeated Max Zimmerman 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) in the No. 1 spot. Dubrovsky holds an 11-3 record in singles play this season. Ayman recorded a win over Farber 6-4, 7-6 (10-6) in the No. 2 spot. Ayman has tallied nine singles win this season. Anderson defeated Dotterer 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) for his fourth singles win this season. Lyu earned a win in the No. 4 spot over Bartok 6-0, 6-3. Lyu is 7-4 in singles play this season. Ledford fell to Stein 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in the No. 5 spot. Atwater earned a win at No. 6 over Tim Derby 6-0, 6-2. Atwater holds a 5-3 mark in singles play this season.
The Statesmen will be back in action Monday, March 16, when they open their spring break trip with a match against University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Orlando, Fla.
