The Hobart and William Smith squash teams will begin the 2022 portion of their schedules this weekend, Jan. 14-15, with a trip to Maine to take on Bowdoin and Colby. The teams will be in Brunswick to take on the Polar Bears on Friday at 3 p.m. The teams will then make the 55-minute trip up 1-95 to take on the Mules in Waterville on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Herons enter January ranked 22nd in the College Squash Association rankings. William Smith is 6-2 overall and closed out 2021 with victories over then No. 22 Hamilton (7-2) and then No. 24 Wesleyan (8-1).
Marce Marquez Martinez has played all eight matches in the No. 1 spot and is 5-3 this season.

Molly Wachter share the team lead with seven wins each.

The Statesmen are ranked 27th in the CSA rankings. Hobart is 5-4 overall and wrapped up 2021 with wins over Hamilton (7-2) and Wesleyan (8-1).
Mo Abdelhafez has played eight matches and is 5-3 in the No. 1 spot.

Bowdoin's women are ranked 20th in the nation. The Polar Bears are 1-5 overall this season and are looking to bounce back from a loss to Amherst on Tuesday. Bowdoin's men are ranked 22nd in the nation and are 1-3 this season. The Polar Bears defeated the Mammoths 6-3 on Tuesday.

Both Colby's men's and women's teams are ranked 26th in the CSA rankings. The women are 0-4 and the men are 1-3 overall.
