Hobart adds game with Potsdam in Pulaski

1/14/2022 3:06:00 PM

The fifth-ranked Hobart College hockey team has added a non-conference game against Potsdam Monday, Jan. 18. The game will be held at the Haldane Memorial Arena in Pulaski, New York. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The event is an opportunity for two teams to bring college hockey to a smalltown venue. All proceeds raised from the game will be donated to the Salmon River Ice Hockey Association. The game is in the spirit of Hobart Hockey Helpers. Hockey Helpers was established in 2007 by defenseman Ryan Adler to give the Statesmen hockey team the opportunity to volunteer and give back through service projects in the community.

Spectators will be allowed at Haldane Memorial Arena. Masks must be worn at all times and social distancing is strongly encouraged.

Hobart is 11-2-1 overall and will take on No. 6 Babson on Sunday.

Potsdam is 1-12-0 this season. Robert Clerc leads the team with seven points on two goals and five assists. Josh Bifochi and Jack Bloem each have three goals. Michael Paglucca has played a majority of the minutes in goal. He is 1-6-0 with a 3.30 goals against average and a .880 save percentage.

Monday's game will be the 41st meeting between Hobart and Potsdam. The Bears lead the all-time series 22-17-1. The Statesmen, however, have prevailed in 11 of the last 12 meetings in the series.
