Daniel Barrientos made his collegiate debut a memorable one, winning two events and posting an NCAA qualifying score on the 3-meter board.
Barrientos started his collegiate career with a first place finish on the 1-meter board with a score of 250.95. The runner-up was 15 points behind him. Barrientos continued strong showing in his second event of the day, taking first place on the 3-meter board. His score of 287.20 surpassed the NCAA qualifying standard (285 for six dives).
