ITHACA, N.Y.— The William Smith college swimming and diving team went 2-1 this afternoon at Ithaca. The Herons defeated Buffalo State 132-130 and Fredonia 155-90, but fell to Ithaca 245-50.
First-year
Hali Seidberg started her collegiate career for the Herons on a strong note, winning the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 29.13. She also earned a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, recording a time of 1:05.74.
Sophomore
Tessa Yohan earned three top-4 finishes. She took third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.96. Yohan finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.92) and fourth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:24.10).
First-year
Lea Emanuel was fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle, logging a time of 11:56.57.
