The William Smith College field hockey team will be back in action this weekend with two Liberty League contests. On Friday, the Herons will honor their seniors before taking on Union at 4:30 p.m. William Smith will then head to Ithaca, to take on the Bombers on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Herons are looking to clinch a Liberty League playoff berth for the first time since 2017. The top five teams will make this year's field. William Smith can clinch a playoff berth with one win this weekend or one loss by Union.

ABOUT THE HERONS:
- William Smith enters the weekend with a 12-2 record after a 1-0 overtime victory over Vassar on Sunday.
- The Herons sit at 4-1 in the Liberty League.
- Senior Lauren Jackson was named the Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week and the Synapse Sports Division III Defensive Player of the Week after her two strong performances last week.

ABOUT THE DUTCHWOMEN:
- Union enters the weekend 10-3 overall, and 2-3 in conference play. On Sunday, the Dutchwomen defeated St. Lawrence 2-1.
- Emily Dawson leads the team with 31 points on 13 goals and five assists.
- Sophie Brady leads the Dutchwomen in goal. She is 10-3 with a 1.79 GAA and a .672 save percentage.
ABOUT THE BOMBERS:
- Ithaca enters the weekend 12-2 overall, with a 5-0 record in conference play. On Sunday, the Bombers defeated Skidmore 5-0.
- The Bombers will travel to Rochester to take on the Yellowjackets in a Liberty League matchup on Friday, before hosting the Herons on Sunday.
- Natalie Descalso leads the team heading into the weekend, with 24 points on nine goals and six assists.
- Macy Brandwein leads the Bombers in goal, posting a 12-2 record. She currently has a 0.72 GAA and a .839 save percentage.
