The sixth-ranked William Smith College soccer team will face eighth-ranked Amherst College in an NCAA tournament third round game hosted by Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1:30 p.m.

The fourth-ranked Spartans will host 15th-ranked Loras College at 11 a.m. The advancing teams will meet on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m.

Presale tickets are available now. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and $2 for children ages 3-12. In-person ticket sales on game day will be cash only. Fans unable to make it to the game can follow the action online with live stats and video through Case Western's website.

The Herons are 13-1-6 on the season. William Smith topped SUNY Delhi 12-0 in the first round and then defeated No. 22 Tufts 1-0 in the second round to advance to Saturday's game. The Herons, who are making a record 32nd appearance in the NCAA tournament, have advanced to the sectional round for the seventh straight season.

Emma Faso leads the team with 20 points on eight goals and four assists. Junior
Ava Ruppersberger is right behind her with 19 points on seven goals and five assists. First-year
Ruth Hotaling leads William Smith with eight assists.
Amanda Kesler and
Kirsten Nelson have each started 10 games in goal. Kesler is 5-1-5 with a 0.37 GAA and a .846 save percentage. Nelson is 8-0-1 with a 0.21 GAA and a .938 save percentage.

Amherst is 18-2-0 on the season. The Mammoths defeated Wesleyan 2-0 in the NESCAC Championship to secure an automatic bid to the tournament. Amherst beat Westminster (Pa.), 3-0 in the first round and then took down host RIT 1-0 to secure a spot in the sectional round. Abby Schwartz leads the team with 32 points on 12 goals and eight assists. Mika Fisher has played a majority of the minutes in goal. She is 17-2-0 with a 0.59 GAA and a .855 save percentage. Â

Saturday's game will be the fifth meeting between William Smith and Amherst. The Herons hold a 3-1-0 advantage in the series, including a 1-0-0 mark at neutral sites. The previous two meetings were also third round contests. Â
