GENEVA, N.Y.—The 24th-ranked Hobart College squash team was defeated by eighth-ranked Cornell 9-0 at the Smith squash Center this evening. With the loss, the Statesmen fall to 0-3 on the season while the Big Red improve to 5-0 on the year.
MATCH MOMENTS:
- Cornell won eight of the nine matches 3-0.
- Joseph Raskin Lantos was defeated by Spencer Yager 11-5, 11-7, 8-11, 11-8, at No. 4.
- James Mazzarelli was in a tight match in the No. 9 spot, but was edged by Jeh Pandole, 11-5, 16-14, 11-8.
UP NEXT:
Hobart will be back in action this weekend, Dec. 3-4, when it heads to Poughkeepsie, New York, for three matches. The Statesmen will take on No. 23 Middlebury and Wesleyan on Saturday and Vassar on Sunday.
