The William Smith College basketball team will host RPI and Vassar this weekend to open up Liberty League play. The Herons will take on the Engineers Friday at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Brewers on Saturday at 2 p.m.
 
Fans who cannot make it to Bristol Gymnasium this weekend can follow the action with HWS All-Access Video and Live Stats. The games will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).
 
The Herons are 1-3 following a 59-43 defeat at Hamilton on Tuesday. Junior Brooke Jarvis led the Herons with 10 points against the Continentals, followed by senior Kerstin Kelly with eight. Senior Lauren DeVaney chipped in 11 rebounds for the Herons, surpassing the 500 career rebound mark.

ABOUT THE HERONS

• Jarvis leads the team, averaging 14.5 points per game, followed by DeVaney with 11.3 points per game.
• DeVaney averages a team-leading 8.3 rebounds per game, followed by Jarvis with 6.8 and sophomore Maddie Patrick with 5.8.
• Kelly (8) and junior Katie Smythe (7) both posted season-high points in Tuesday night's loss.
   

ABOUT THE ENGINEERS

• RPI enters Friday night's matchup with a 3-3 record after defeating SUNY Delhi 78-38 on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
• Ashlyn O'Neil leads the Engineers, averaging 15.3 points per game followed by Marley Mueller with 10.8.
• Nicole DaPra averages a team-leading 10.3 rebounds per game, followed by Heather Converse with 8.8.

• Vassar enters the weekend with a 2-4 overall record and will head to Ithaca for a Friday night showdown with the Bombers before heading to Geneva on Saturday.
• Julia Harvey leads the Brewers, averaging 10.8 points per game, followed by Sierra McDermed with 10.2
• Bella Tawney averages a team-leading 6.5 rebounds per game, followed by Naiya Kurnik with 4.2.
