Hobart hosts #7 Rochester Saturday

The Hobart College soccer team will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 17, when it welcomes seventh-ranked Rochester to Cozzens Field. The non-conference contest is set to begin at 2 p.m.
 
Fans who cannot make it to Geneva, New York, can follow all the action with HWS All-Access Video and Live Stats. The game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7).

ABOUT THE STATESMEN:
  • Hobart is 2-1-1 on the season and looking to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to Oneonta on Sunday.
  • First-year Brian Sheehan leads the team with five points on two goals and an assist. Fellow first-year Quinn Phillips also has two goals.
  • Christian Burkhart and Guillermo Castañeda Chang have split time in goal. Burkhart is 1-0-0 with a 0.00 GAA. Castaneda Chang is 1-1-1 with a 2.67 GAA.
  • The Statesmen played to a 1-1 tie against Medaille in their home opener.
 
ABOUT THE YELLOWJACKETS:
  • Rochester brings a 3-0-1 record into Saturday's game. The Yellowjackets tied RIT 1-1 earlier in the week.
  • Othman Belhseine leads the team with five points and is tied for the team lead with Tony Hyphsher with two goals.
  • Santino Lupica-Tonda has played every minute in goal for Rochester. He is 3-0-1 with a 0.50 GAA and a .846 save percentage.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
  • Saturday's game will be the 69th meeting between Hobart and Rochester. The Yellowjackets hold a 36-21-11 edge in the series and have won the last three meetings and are unbeaten in the last five (4-0-1).
  • Rochester is 14-11-6 in games played in Geneva.
