Hobart hosts Ithaca on Homecoming Weekend

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College football team will host nationally-ranked Ithaca College Saturday, Oct. 1 during Homecoming and Family Weekend. Kickoff on Boswell Field at Urick Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
The game will be broadcast live on WEOS-FM (89.5/90.3). Online coverage includes live video on HWS All-Access and Live Stats.

Hobart is 3-1 overall heading into its Liberty League opener. The Statesmen outscored Keystone College 65-6 last Saturday, the second-highest scoring total in Hobart history. First-year linebacker Mike McGhee was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week after producing a game-high 16 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble against the Giants.

Ithaca is ranked 12th in the AFCA poll and 13th in the D3football.com poll. The Bombers, who sport a 3-0 record, were idle last week.
 
Saturday's contest will be the 35th meeting between the two teams. Ithaca leads the series 29-5. All five of Hobart's wins in the series have come in Geneva, including victories in four of the past five meetings on Boswell Field.
