LANCASTER, Pa.—The 24th-ranked Hobart College squash team was defeated by 15th-ranked Franklin & Marshall 7-2 at the Mayser Squash Courts. With the loss, the Statesmen are now 4-7 on the season. The Diplomats improve to 8-4.

- Omar Kiwan notched his seventh win of the season picking up a victory in the No. 2 spot. He dispatched Jordan Sprecher, 11-3, 11-6, 11-6. Kiwan is 7-4, including a 6-4 record at No. 2.
- After dropping the first game, James Mazzarelli rallied to defeat Evann Tan, 5-11, 11-6, 11-6, 12-10. Mazzarelli is now 5-4 on the year.
- Sebi De La Vega had a hard-fought match in the No. 1 spot but was edged by Petr Nohel, 5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-3.

Hobart will be back in action tomorrow, Jan. 16, when it heads to Washington, D.C., to take on 25th-ranked Navy at 3 p.m. The match, which is part of the 2023 Squash on Fire, will take place at Georgetown University.
