GENEVA, N.Y.—The 23rd-ranked Hobart College squash team defeated 24th-ranked Hamilton College 9-0 in a match at the Smith Squash center this afternoon. It was the Statesmen's third straight victory and fourth in the last five matches.

- Hobart is now 7-7 on the season.
- The Continentals are now 1-6 on the year.

- Hobart had four 3-0 victories and three 3-1 wins. The other two matches went to five games.
- The Statesmen have won three straight matches against Hamilton and are 44-32 all-time against the Continentals.
MATCH MOMENTS
- Junior Omar Kiwan extended his winning streak to four matches, defeating Tate Suratt, 11-8, 11-3, 11-7, at No. 2. Kiwan leads the team with a 10-4 record, including a 9-4 mark in the No. 2 spot.
- Sophomore Roberto Vega swept Ashby Howard, 11-6, 11-1, 11-5, at No. 6. It was Vega's sixth win of the season.
- At No. 1, junior Sebi De La Vega cruised past Tobey Suratt, 11-8, 11-4, 11-7. De la Vega has five wins at the top of the lineup.
- Sophomore Sayf Elhawary knocked off Tate Burgin, 12-10, 11-4, 11-5, at No. 7. Elhawary is 7-8 on the season.
- After dropping the first game, junior Hussein Labib rallied to beat Waleed Nisar, 7-11, 11-5, 12-10, 11-4.
- Senior James Mazzarelli also rallied to win his match. He beat Jacob Shulman, 5-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-6 at No. 9. Mazzarelli is 7-4 on the season.
- First-year Javier De La Vega notched his sixth win of the season, beating Atreyus Bhavasar, 11-8, 11-9, 11-13, 11-4.
- Senior Giacomo Dalle Molle edged Nicholas Carabatsos, 11-7, 7-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, at No. 8. It was Dalle Molle's sixth win of the year.
- Sophomore Joseph Raskin Lantos squeaked by William Rice, 13-11, 9-11, 14-12, 7-11, 11-6, at No. 4.

Hobart will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 25, when it welcomes No. 13 Western University to the Smith Squash Center. The match is scheduled to get underway at 6 p.m.
