1/30/2023 3:09:00 PM

The William Smith College hockey team begins a three-game homestand tomorrow, Jan. 31, when it welcomes Oswego State to The Cooler for a non-conference clash. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

William Smith is 9-10-1 overall this season. The Herons were 1-1-0 last weekend in New England Hockey Conference play. William Smith beat UMass Boston 2-0 Friday evening before dropping a 3-2 overtime decision to Johnson & Wales Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers are 11-8-1 overall this season and bring a two-game winning streak into tomorrow's game. Oswego has been idle since Jan. 21, a 3-2 win over Morrisville State.

In conjunction with tomorrow's game, William Smith Athletics will host its annual celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Any future Herons in attendance (eighth grade or younger) will get a free slice of pizza at the end of the first period and get the chance to meet with current Herons from other sports.

Fans that can't make the trip to The Cooler can follow all the action with HWS All-Access and Live Stats. The game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).
