GENEVA, N.Y.—The 24th-ranked Hobart College squash team defeated 22nd-ranked Bowdoin College 7-2 at the Smith Squash Center this afternoon. With the win, Hobart is now 3-5 on the season
KEY STATS:
- Hobart had three 3-0 sweeps and three 3-1 victories against the Polar Bears (4-5).
- Today's victory was Hobart's ninth against Bowdoin and the first since 2017.
MATCH MOMENTS:
- Omar Kiwan notched his team-leading fifth win of the season, besting Deven Kanwal, 11-3, 11-6, 11-5, in the No. 2 spot. Kiwan is 5-3 on the year, with a 4-3 mark in the No. 2 spot.
- Giacomo Dalle Molle cruised past Luc Agudelo, 11-6, 11-7 11-2 at No. 8. It was Dalle Molle's fourth win of the season.
- At No. 9, James Mazzarelli defeated Justin Barr, 11-2, 11-5, 11-3. With the win, Mazarelli is 3-3 on the year.
- Joseph Raskin Lantos rallied to defeat Henry Somerby, 8-11, 11-6, 14-12, 11-5, at No. 4. It was Raskin Lantos' third win of the season.
- Roberto Vega defeated Abhiroop Reddy, 11-5, 5-11, 11-3, 11-9 at No. 6. In the No. 7 spot, Sayf Elhawary topped Joseph French, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 11-7. It was the third win of the year for both Vega and Elhawary.
- Hussein Labib and Jackson Rho were tied 1-1 when Rho retired.
- Javier De La Vega dropped a heartbreaking decision to Aryan Singh at No. 5. Singh won, 9-11, 11-7, 11-8, 10-12, 11-8.
