The William Smith College soccer team, which remained at No. 4 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Poll, returns to Cozzens Field this weekend, Oct. 13-14, for a pair of Liberty League contests. On Friday, Oct. 13, the Herons take on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at 4 p.m. The next day, William Smith takes on Union College, kickoff at 2 p.m.
The Momma's Got You food truck will be on-site between the soccer and field hockey games. The truck will be free to students, faculty and staff with One Card.
The Herons enter this weekend with an unchanged overall record of 6-0-3, 2-0-2 in Liberty League play. This past weekend, William Smith was scheduled to play at Vassar College, but heavy rain caused poor field conditions, resulting in a postponement to Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
The Engineers are 7-1-3 with a 2-1-1 record in conference play. Last weekend, RPI defeated Skidmore College 2-0 behind goals by Gwen Barnes and Izzy O'Clair. Megan Wampner made eight saves in the victory.
Following Friday's game against the Engineers, William Smith will recognize its senior class.
The Garnet Chargers are 6-3-2 with a 2-1-1 mark in the Liberty League. Union enters the weekend winners of their last four games. The Garnet Chargers will be at Ithaca on Friday.
