The William Smith College field hockey team will be back in action this weekend for two Liberty League contests. On Friday, Oct. 20, the Herons will take on Skidmore in Saratoga Springs at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, William Smith will welcome St. Lawrence to McCooey Field for its last regular season Liberty League matchup. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Fans who can't make it to McCooey Field can follow the action with HWS All-Access Video and Live Stats. The game will be broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva). Prior to Sunday's game against the Saints, William Smith will recognize its graduate students and its senior class. 
 
Junior Hannah Huston and graduate student Kate Barilla were named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll after two strong performances last week. Huston scored the game-winning-goal for the Herons as they defeated Ithaca in a crucial conference match, 1-0. Barilla tallied the Herons' lone goal in a 2-1 double overtime loss to Union College Sunday.

ABOUT THE HERONS

• William Smith enters the weekend with an 8-6 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the Liberty League.
• Junior Rebecca Mantione (6G, 3A) leads the Herons with 15 points, followed by senior Libby Maxwell (4G, 3A) with 11 points. Senior Sofia Patillo (3G, 3A) and Huston (3G, 3A) have recorded nine points each. 
• Senior goalie Kristen McCormick has a slight edge in minutes played for the Herons. She is 6-4 on the season, securing a 1.55 GAA, and a .674 save percentage. Senior Brittany Foster is 2-2 on the season, with a 1.22 GAA and a .696 save percentage.

ABOUT THE THOROUGHBREDS

• After a convincing 7-0 win over Russell Sage on Wednesday, the Thoroughbreds are 7-7 overall and 2-3 in the Liberty League. 
• CC Wetter (11G, 3A) leads the Thoroughbreds with 25 points, followed by Abby Ezickson (9G, 3A) with 21 points. 
• Goalie Victoria Bodnar has played the majority of minutes in goal for Skidmore. She is 7-7 with a 2.72 GAA, and a .721 save percentage. 

ABOUT THE SAINTS

• The Saints hold a 3-10 overall record and are 0-5 in the Liberty League. Before coming to Geneva, St. Lawrence will face the University of Rochester Friday at 4 p.m. 
• Mayson Blondek (4G, 0A) and Maggie Spire (4G, 0A) lead the team with eight points each.
• Cara Vredenburg has played a majority of the minutes in goal for the Saints, holding a 2-5 record with a 2.44 GAA, and an .802 save percentage.
