#4 Herons begin road trip against Vassar, Bard

The fourth-ranked William Smith College soccer team begins a three-game road trip this weekend, Oct 21 and 22, as it hits the road for two key Liberty League showdowns.
 
On Saturday, Oct 21 the Herons will face Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. The next day, William Smith will take on Vassar College, in a match that was rescheduled from earlier this month, in Poughkeepsie at 2 p.m.
 
The Herons are 9-0-3 overall with a 4-0-2 record in conference play. William Smith enters the weekend second in the conference standings. The Herons are coming off their fifth consecutive win and shutout, beating Nazareth 2-0. Julia Berg scored both goals.
 
The Raptors are 4-7-1 overall and 0-6-1 in Liberty League play. This past weekend Bard fell to St. Lawrence 2-0. The Brewers are 8-3-2 overall and 2-1-2 in Liberty League play. Vassar is coming off a 1-0 victory over Clarkson last weekend.
