Football hosts SLU for Homecoming Game

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College football team will welcome St. Lawrence University to Urick Stadium Saturday, Oct. 28 during HWS Homecoming and Family Weekend. Kickoff on Boswell Field is set for 1 p.m.
 
MORE THAN A GAME
  • In addition to being a Liberty League showdown, the game against the Saints will also mark the 13th annual Tackles and Touchdowns game to benefit the Ability Partners Foundation and Happiness House.
  • Fans can pledge per Hobart tackle, per Hobart touchdown or donate a flat rate to benefit Happiness House, supporting its goal of providing the highest quality, innovative and cost-effective services to children and adults with and without disabilities.

FOR THE RECORD
  • St. Lawrence is 2-5 overall, 0-3 in the Liberty League.
  • Hobart is 5-2, 1-2 in league play.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
  • In a series that dates back to 1901, the Statesmen and Saints will square off for the 94th time Saturday.
  • Hobart won the initial meeting 10-0 in Canton and leads the series 55-36-2.
  • Including a 31-10 Statesmen win in the North Country last season, Hobart has won 11 straight over SLU.
 
WHAT'S THE POINT
  • Hobart is third in the Liberty League averaging 31.3 points per game. On defense, the Statesmen are fourth in the league, allowing 14.9 points per game.
  • St. Lawrence, which has been shutout twice this season, is last in the league in scoring (13.9) and sixth in scoring defense (26.9 ppg).

  • Senior running back Rayshawn Boswell leads Hobart's ground game. He's sixth in the league with 483 rushing yards and second with nine rushing touchdowns.
  • The Saints are last in the league in rushing offense (94.7 yds/g) and rushing defense (183.4 yds/g).
 
TAKE TO THE SKY
  • St. Lawrence averages 178.1 yards passing per game, fourth in the conference just ahead of Hobart's 162.1 yards per game.
  • On the defensive side of the ball, the Saints are second against the pass, allowing just 146.0 yards per game, while the Statesmen are third, yielding 165.7 yards per game.
