GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College swimming and diving team was back in action this afternoon against Roberts Wesleyan University and Wells College in its home opener in Bristol Pool. The Statesmen defeated the Express 119-25 and fell to the Redhawks 204-58.
Sophomore
Daniel Barrientos led the Statesmen with first-place finishes from both the 1-meter and the 3-meter diving boards. Barrientos posted a score of 279.25 from the 1-meter board and earned a score of 267.50 from the 3-meter diving board to collect two more wins this season.Â

First-year
Christopher Woody continued to impress in his first year as a Statesman as he earned a first-place finish in the home opener. Woody finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.65. He also finished second in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events.

The Statesmen will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 11, when they head to St. Lawrence to take on the Saints at 1 p.m.
