The William Smith College volleyball team will play two Liberty League matches at home this weekend in Bristol Gymnasium. The Herons will welcome Skidmore College, Friday Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. and Clarkson University, Saturday Oct. 7, at 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE HERONS:
- William Smith enters the weekend with a 7-7 (0-1 LL) record after Saturday's split with Vassar and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The Herons fell to the Brewers 3-1, then defeated the Mariners 3-0.Â
- Sophomore Malya Sayre paces the Herons with 220 kills (4.15/set) and leads the Liberty League in kills per set (4.15), aces per set (0.75), and points per set (5.05). Sayre is also ranked 10th in the nation in points per set.
- Junior setter Elaina Wamhoff leads the team in assists, recording 440 this season. She averages 8.30 per set, which is second best in the conference.
- First-year Maysie Malinaric leads the team in digs with 151 (2.85/set). Montagne has chipped in 128 digs this season (2.42/set).
- First-year Lindsay Umlauf has a team-leading 34 blocks (27A, 7S), ranking fifth in the league.
ABOUT THE THOROUGHBREDS:
- Skidmore enters the weekend at 7-9 (1-2) after losing to both Clarkson and the University of Rochester 3-1 last weekend.Â
- Jo Blanco leads the Thoroughbreds with 113 kills (1.92/set).
- Noa Berger leads the team in assists with 203 (4.14/set).
- Last season William Smith defeated Skidmore 3-1 in Saratoga Springs. Sayre led the Herons with 19 kills.
ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS:
- Clarkson enters the weekend 8-6 (3-0) after losing to Rochester 3-0 and Middlebury 3-1 this past weekend.Â
- The Golden Knights will take on RIT on Friday ahead of their visit to Geneva.
- Sara Calante leads Clarkson with 155 kills (3.23/set).
- Isabelle Crow has a team-leading 313 assists (6.66/set).
- Last season Clarkson defeated William Smith 3-0 in Potsdam. Wamhoff led the Herons with 30 assists.
