The Hobart and William Smith Colleges swimming and diving teams will welcome Alfred University to Bristol Pool this Friday, Nov. 17. The meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

William Smith is entering the meet with a 2-4 record and is looking to bounce back after falling to St. Lawrence, 151-85, last weekend. Sophomore Ella Raiti led the Herons with two first-place finishes from the diving board. She scored 182.3 points from the 1-meter board and 179.9 from the 3-meter board to win both events.

Sophomore's Lea Emanuel and Hali Seidberg continued to impress as they collected two first-place finishes for William Smith. Emanuel won the 100-yard backstroke against the Saints, stopping the clock at 1:09.52. Seidberg clocked in at 1:03.75 to grab first place in the 100 butterfly.

The Herons will take on the 2-2 Saxons, who are coming off a split in a home tri-meet with Rochester and Fredonia on Saturday. Alfred fell to the Yellowjackets 225-64 and defeated the Blue Devils 162-90.

The Statesmen will go into Friday's meet holding a 2-4 record after a tight 83-81 loss to St. Lawrence on Saturday. Sophomore Daniel Barrientos showed strong with two first-place finishes from the diving board. With the two wins, Barrientos now sits at 18 first-place finishes in his collegiate career.

First-year Christopher Woody led the Statesmen swimmers with a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke after clocking in at 1:05.91. He also finished second in the 400-yard individual medley and the 100 back to build on the strong start to his collegiate career.

Alfred will bring a 2-2 record to Geneva after splitting action in its tri-meet with Rochester and Fredonia on Saturday. The Saxons fell to the Yellowjackets 163-131 and defeated the Blue Devils 240-27.
