Herons tie for 1st in AMCC Round Robin No. 1

KENMORE, N.Y.—The William Smith College Bowling team is tied for first place halfway through the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference double round robin schedule. The Herons went 9-1 in this weekend's Baker matches, sharing the lead with Alvernia and preseason favorite Saint Vincent.

FOR THE RECORD
  • William Smith improved to 27-11 on the season.
  • In just their second varsity season, the Herons reversed their record in the AMCC Baker round robin from their inaugural season.

  • The AMCC Round Robin will continue with traditional matches Feb. 2-4. The combined totals from both rounds will determine the top six teams that will advance to the AMCC Championship in Pittsburgh March 22-24.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Herons will host their first home match Dec. 2 when they welcome Roberts Wesleyan to Sunset Bowl. The match is set to get underway at 8 a.m.
