KENMORE, N.Y.—The William Smith College Bowling team is tied for first place halfway through the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference double round robin schedule. The Herons went 9-1 in this weekend's Baker matches, sharing the lead with Alvernia and preseason favorite Saint Vincent.

• This weekend, William Smith led the AMCC in total pin fall (8,777) and average per game (175.5).
• The Bearcats were second with 8,746 pins (174.9) and the Wolves third with 8,642 pins (172.8).

 
FOR THE RECORD

• William Smith improved to 27-11 on the season.
• In just their second varsity season, the Herons reversed their record in the AMCC Baker round robin from their inaugural season.

• The AMCC Round Robin will continue with traditional matches Feb. 2-4. The combined totals from both rounds will determine the top six teams that will advance to the AMCC Championship in Pittsburgh March 22-24.
