The Hobart College hockey team moved up one spot to No. 2 in this week's USCHO.com poll ahead of a midweek showdown with Brockport at The Cooler. Faceoff for the non-conference contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Statesmen enter this week with an overall record of 6-2-0. Hobart had a triumphant weekend, recording wins over Buffalo State and Fredonia. On Friday, the Statesmen shutout the Bengals 4-0. Seniors

Damon Beaver stopped all 15 shots he faced. His third straight shutout earned him a spot on the New England Hockey Conference's weekly honor roll. Saturday Hobart defeated Fredonia 3-1. Senior
