ITHACA, N.Y.—The ninth-ranked Cornell University Squash team defeated 23rd-ranked Hobart College 9-0 at the Belkin Squash Courts this afternoon.

MATCH FACTS

• The Big Red swept all nine matches.
• First-year Dhirren Rajarathinam had a tightly contested match at No. 3 but was edged by Spencer Yager, 18-16, 11-5, 11-8. Rajarathinam is 4-1, playing all five matches at No. 3.
• In the No. 9 spot, first-year Angel Ripolles put up a strong fight, but was defeated by Edward Morneau, 11-6, 11-9, 13-11.
• Junior Roberto Vega won five points in each of the three games.
• Senior Omar Kiwan was edged by Amaav Sareen 12-10, 11-2, 11-5 at No. 2.

Hobart has wrapped up the 2023 portion of its schedule. The Statesmen will be back in action Jan. 7, when it heads to Bowdoin College for its first of three matches in Maine.
