SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The second-ranked Hobart College hockey team scored three goals in the third period as it cruised to a 4-0 victory over Skidmore at the Saratoga City Rink in a New England Hockey Conference contest this evening. With the win, Hobart is now 20-2-0 overall and 13-2-0 in NEHC play.

Damon Beaver stopped all 24 shots he faced as he collected his sixth shutout of the season. Tate Brandon played all 60 minutes in goal for Skidmore (13-7-2, 7-6-2) and made 22 saves.

SCORING SUMMARY
- Hobart opened the scoring at the 15:28 mark of the second period. Junior Gagik Malakyan skated into the offensive zone and snuck a shot from the left faceoff circle past Brandon. His fourth goal of the season was assisted by Buzoverya.
- The Statesmen took a 2-0 lead eight minutes into the final stanza. First-year Ignat Belov redirected a shot from the point past Brandon. Junior Kevin Lassman and Aquaro were awarded assists on the goal. It was Belov's ninth goal of the year.
- Six minutes later, Aquaro pocketed his team-leading 12th goal of the season. He skated around a defender and slipped a shot across the goal line. Sophomore Shane Shell and junior Jonah Alexander were credited assists on the goal.
- Buzoverya wrapped up the scoring with just under two minutes remaining in regulation. He snapped a shot from the slot into the back of the net. First-year Tanner Hartman and senior Brenden Howell notched assists on the tally.

Hobart will be back in action tomorrow, Feb. 4, when it takes on Castleton University in Rutland, Vermont. Faceoff at Spartan Arena is scheduled for 4 p.m.
