Rayshawn Boswell was named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware for his career-high rushing effort in a 27-10 win over Morrisville State on Saturday.

In the Statesmen's home opener, Boswell turned 20 carries into 147 yards (7.4 yds/att) and two touchdowns against the Mustangs. His first TD came from 18 yards out and gave Hobart a 13-0 first quarter lead. Boswell capped the day's scoring with a 4-yard run that iced the victory with just over four minutes remaining. Saturday was his sixth career 100-yard yard rushing game.

In 33 career games, Boswell has rushed for 1,951 yards and 29 touchdowns, caught 60 passes for 730 yards and four touchdowns and returned 33 kickoffs for 1,039 yards and three touchdowns. He ranks 13th in career rushing yards, eighth in career rushing touchdowns, and sixth in total career touchdowns (36).

As a team, Hobart rushed for 306 yards, the most rushing yards allowed by Morrisville State since Cortland rushed for 309 yards against the Mustangs on Oct. 2, 2021. The Statesmen defense produced five takeaways on the day, including four interceptions.
