CANTON, N.Y.—The Hobart College basketball team suffered a 79-52 Liberty League loss at St. Lawrence University tonight.

Carter Meshanic led Hobart with 15 points. He also shared the team lead with six rebounds, a total matched by junior
Hunter Meshanic and senior
Ryan Lucey. Junior
Aidan Rodgers added nine points and a team-high four assists. Senior
Isaiah Washington scored eight points.
St. Lawrence had four players reach double digits led by Adam Dudzinski's 17 points. Andrew Cowan contributed 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hobart jumped out to a 7-2 lead, including back-to-back buckets by Rodgers.
- However, over the next 12 minutes, St. Lawrence outscored the Statesmen 37-6. The Saints caught fire, making 15-of-21 shots during the run.
- The Statesmen snapped out of their funk late in the half, scoring eight of the final 12 points, but trailed 43-21 at the break.
- SLU maintained a double digit lead throughout the second half.
KEY STATS
- St. Lawrence shot a season-high 61.5% from the floor, connecting on 32-of-52 shots.
- At the other extreme, Hobart shot just 29.4%, a season low.
FOR THE RECORD
- St. Lawrence improved to 10-4 overall, 6-2 in the Liberty League.
- The Statesmen slipped to 12-4, 5-4.
