Daniel Barrientos led the Hobart College swimming and diving team at SUNY Oswego this afternoon as the Statesmen fell to the Lakers 163-50 and Roberts Wesleyan, 171-51.

Barrientos won from the 1-meter diving board after scoring 252.45 points for the 20th first place finish of his career. Classmate
Tillman Washington finished third in the 1-meter event after earning a score of 207.75. Washington also finished third from the 3-meter board with a score of 199.67.

Christopher Woody grabbed a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke event after stopping the clock at 1:04.73. He followed that up with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard Individual Medley after clocking in at 2:16.40.

"It was another tough meet for our guys, but that's expected as we continue to grow." said Head Coach
R.C. Weston. "Our Statesmen fought hard today and had some really strong efforts in many of our races. Our divers continued to perform well with Daniel picking up the win and Tillman and Rupert both hitting personal bests. It was a great end to our winter training period of the season."

The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday Jan. 21, when it hosts the HWS Dive Invitational in Bristol Pool. The Invitational is set to begin at 11 a.m.
