GENEVA, N.Y.—The 20th-ranked Hobart College squash team dropped a match against 18th-ranked Franklin & Marshall College this afternoon. Sophomore
Dhirren Rajarathinam earned a sweep to extend his winning streak to seven matches.
Prior to the match, Hobart recognized their five members of the Class of 2024,
Omar Kiwan,
Hussein Labib,
Raji Davenport,
James Mazzarelli and
Dylan Robson.
FOR THE RECORD
- Hobart is now 5-8 on the season.
- The Diplomats improve to 10-3 on the year.
MATCH SUMMARY
- Rajarathinam knocked off Sharan Punjabi, 11-7, 11-9, 11-8 in the No. 2 spot. He is now 11-1 on the season, including a 5-0 record in the No. 2 spot.
- Franklin & Marshall controlled the match earning three sweeps.
- Javier De La Vega took on Noah Katzer in the closest match of the day. Katzer escaped with a 13-11, 8-11, 11-2, 10-12, 12-10 win in the No. 6 spot.
- Despite losing 3-1, Kiwan was in a hard-fought battle in the No. 3 spot. He was edged by Marco DiFilippo, 9-11, 11-3, 11-5, 11-8.

Hobart will be back in action next Saturday, Feb. 3, when it heads to Clinton, New York, to take on Hamilton College. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
