The 18th-ranked William Smith soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 12, when it returns to Cozzens Field to take on Vassar in a key Liberty League showdown. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
 
William Smith, which returns home after playing five of its last six on the road, is 6-3-2 overall with a 2-1-1 mark in league play. The Herons are coming off a 3-0 win at Clarkson last Saturday. Senior Lindsay Ringbloom factored into all three goals, scoring twice, and junior Ruth Hotaling had two assists in the win. Senior Kirsten Nelson stopped Clarkson's one shot on goal.
 
Vassar is 7-2-2 overall with a 2-1-1 record in Liberty League play. The Brewers are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Skidmore.
