The William Smith field hockey team will be in action twice this weekend as it plays two conference games against Skidmore and St. Lawrence. The Herons will host the Thoroughbreds on Friday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m., before traveling to the North Country on Sunday for a matchup with the Saints at 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE HERONS:
- William Smith enters the weekend with a 5-8 overall record, including a 1-2 mark in Liberty League play. The Herons are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to Union Saturday.
- Junior Abby Jones and first-year Caroline Kogut were named to the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll after two strong performances last week. Jones and Kogut combined for three goals and one assist.
- Kogut leads the team with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. First-year Mia Batchelder follows with nine points on four goals and one assist, while Jones adds seven points on three goals and one assist.
- The Herons have tallied five defensive saves this season and are led by Kogut with four.
- First-year Baker Jeremiah has played a majority of minutes in goal for William Smith. She is 5-8 on the season with a 1.90 goals against average and a .653 save percentage.

- Skidmore brings a 7-7 overall record to Geneva with a 1-2 mark in conference play. The Thoroughbreds are coming off an 11-0 win over Russell Sage on Wednesday.
- CC Wetter leads the team with 25 points on 11 goals and three assists. She is followed by Colby Paul with 16 points on seven goals and two assists.
- Victoria Bodnar has played a majority of minutes in goal for Skidmore. She is 7-7 on the season with a 1.87 GAA and a .792 save percentage.
ABOUT THE SAINTS:
- St. Lawrence enters the weekend with a 5-6 overall record, including a 2-1 record in Liberty League play. The Saints will travel to No. 21 Rochester Friday before welcoming the Herons on Sunday.
- Caroline Hamilton leads the team with 22 points on 10 goals and two assists. She is followed by Lily Gubbins with 17 points on seven goals and three assists.
- Cara Vredenburg and Elizabeth Walsh have split time in goal for the Saints this season. Vredenburg is 2-2 on the season with a 2.35 GAA and a .808 save percentage, while Walsh is 2-3 overall with a 2.71 GAA and a .735 save percentage.
SERIES SNAPSHOTS:
