The William Smith field hockey team will be in action twice this weekend as it plays two conference games against Vassar and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Herons are set to host the Brewers on Friday, Oct. 25, at 4 p.m., on McCooey Field before traveling to RPI on Sunday for a matchup with the Engineers at 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE HERONS:
- William Smith enters the weekend with a 6-9 overall record, including a 2-3 mark in Liberty League play. The Herons are coming off a 4-3 win over St. Lawrence Sunday that saw four different players score.
- Senior Hannah Huston was named to the conference's weekly honor roll after tallying two assists in the win over the Saints.
- First-year Caroline Kogut leads the team with 19 points on 8 goals and three assists. Classmate Mia Batchelder follows with nine points on four goals and one assist, while junior Abby Jones adds eight points on three goals and one assist.
- The Herons have tallied five defensive saves this season and are led by Kogut with four.
- First-year Baker Jeremiah has played a majority of minutes in goal for William Smith. She is 6-9 on the season with a 1.92 goals against average and a .642 save percentage.
ABOUT THE BREWERS:
- Vassar comes to Geneva with a 3-12 overall record, and a 1-4 mark in conference play. The Brewers are coming off of a 4-0 loss to No. 22 Ithaca on Sunday.
- Tori Baker leads the team with 10 points on five goals. She is followed by Sofia Beseth with nine points on four goals and one assist.
- Grace Wiley has played all of the minutes in goal for Vassar. She is 3-12 on the season with a 2.81 GAA and a .697 save percentage.
ABOUT THE ENGINEERS:
- RPI enters the weekend with a 7-7 overall record, including a 2-3 mark in conference play. The Engineers are set to travel to No. 21 Rochester Friday before welcoming the Herons on Sunday.
- Sophia Brown leads the team with 22 points on 11 goals. She is followed by Abby Peterson with 15 points on seven goals and one assist.
- Tess Garchinsky has played all of the minutes in goal this season, posting a 7-7 record with a 2.10 GAA and a .735 save percentage.
