GENEVA, N.Y— The Hobart swimming and diving team was back in Bristol Pool this afternoon as it welcomed Roberts Wesleyan for a nonconference meet. The Redhawks defeated the Statesmen 191-87, handing Hobart its first loss of the season.
Sophomore Christopher Woody led Hobart this afternoon with a first-place finish in the 200-yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:17.08. First-year Gerard Humiston touched the wall just over two seconds later to finish second. Woody also earned second place finishes in the 100-yard breast (1:04.63) and the 200-yard breast (2:27.30). He joined Humiston, Bailey Jacobs and George Weir for a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:47.18).
Weir touched the wall first in the 100-yard free with a time of 54.11 for his first collegiate win.
Humiston continued to impress for Hobart with second place finishes in both the 1000-yard freestyle (11:10.83) and the 500-yard free (5:26.77). Classmate William Foure finished second in the 200-yard free with a time of 1:46.09, while first-year Marshall Hemmerich finished second in the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:00.29.
Sophomore Rupert Ramsay led the Statesmen from the diving boards with second place finishes from both the 1- and 3-meter boards. From the 1-meter board, Ramsay scored a 199.75 to earn second place and then followed that up with a score of 193.60 from the 3-meter board.

Hobart will be back in action Friday, Nov. 1, when it travels to Alfred, New York, to take on Alfred University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
