The Hobart squash team opened its season with a pair of 8-1 losses in Granville, Ohio this weekend. On Saturday, the Statesmen took on Denison and on Saturday, Hobart played Dickinson.

AGAINST THE BIG RED
- Denison won seven of the matches in 3-0 sweeps.
- In the No. 4 spot, sophomore Matthew Aldana put up a strong fight but was edged by Lucas Piller, 11-9, 7-11, 8-11, 11-4, 11-9.
- Senior Joseph Raskin Lanto picked up the point for Hobart, sweeping Charlie Fenwick IV, 11-2, 11-7, 11-6.
- Despite being swept, senior Tytus Felbor put up a strong fight in the No. 5 spot. He was edged, 14-12, 11-6, 11-4.

AGAINST THE RED DEVILS
- Dickinson picked up four 3-0 sweeps and won three of the matches 3-1.
- Aldana again battled tough in the No. 4 position, but was defeated by Samuel Knipp, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6, 7-11, 11-4.
- First-year Toby Clegg-Petri notched his first collegiate win. Playing at No. 1, he defeated William Krizek, 11-5, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9.

UP NEXT
Hobart returns home next Sunday, Nov. 17, when it hosts Hamilton. The match begins a five-match homestand for the Statesmen.
