GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith bowling team is tied for second place following the first AMCC Round Robin. The Herons went 5-2 and share the second spot with Penn State Behrend and Pitt-Bradford.
The Baker format round robin brought the eight teams of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference to Sunset Bowl for two days of competition. William Smith, ranked seventh in the NTCA Division II/III preseason poll, went 3-1 on Saturday and 2-1 on Sunday.

Saint Vincent, ranked sixth in the NTCA Division II/III preseason poll, sits atop the standings with an unblemished 7-0 record.
The Herons finished the weekend second in total pins with 6,046, trailing only the Bearcats (6,418).
The team records from this weekend will carry over to the AMCC Round Robin No. 2 Feb. 8-9 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The top six teams in the final standings will qualify for the AMCC Championship in Pittsburgh, March 21-23.
