#1 Hobart, #11 Elmira renew rivalry

The top-ranked Hobart hockey team returns to The Cooler this weekend, Dec. 6-7, for a two-game series against rival Elmira. Friday's game will start at 7 p.m. Saturday's game will begin at 4 p.m.
 
Hobart is 8-0-0 this season with a 6-0-0 mark in league play. The Statesmen return to action after a week off. Hobart swept then No. 14 Salve Regina just before Nov. 22-23.
 
Elmira is 5-1-2 overall, 5-0-1 in NEHC play. The Soaring Eagles are coming off a 1-0-1 weekend against Albertus Magnus Nov. 22-23.

  • Hobart sits in first place in the NEHC with 18 points. The Statesmen have a three-point lead on the league after six games.

SERIES HISTORY
  • This weekend will be the 100th and 101st meeting between the Route 14 rivals.
  • Elmira leads the all-time series 61-35-3, including a mark of 26-17-2 in Geneva. The Statesmen have won seven out of the last 10 matchups.
