Abigail Schum scored the game-tying goal for the Herons.

Erin Murray made 22 saves in net for the Herons, while Valiants' goaltender Olivia Cimerelli turned back 31 shots.
SCORING SUMMARY
- Manhattanville broke a scoreless contest near the midpoint of the third period.
- The Valiants cashed in on their third power play of the game when Catrina Chinetti potted the puck off assists from Ali Joy and Danika Aubin.
- Three minutes later, Schum converted on a breakaway for her first collegiate goal, knotting the contest at 1.
NEVER-ENDING STORY
- After a scoreless overtime in which the Herons outshot the Valiants 3-1, the teams played a shootout that went an epic 13 rounds.
- Murray and Cimerelli baffled the shooters through 12 rounds before Heron first-year Susan Rotherham took her turn.
- She slipped a shot by the Manhattanville goalie for a 1-0 lead.
- Murray then denied Danielle Stadler to end the longest shootout in Heron history.
