LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The 11th-ranked William Smith soccer team will face No. 1 Washinton (Mo.) in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer National Championship game on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. (Noon PT) at the University of Nevada Las Vegas' Peter Johann Memorial Stadium.
 
The Herons, who are making their sixth appearance in the national championship game, are 17-3-4 this season and defeated Emory last night 2-0. William Smith played in the national championship game in 1987, 1988, 1997, 2013 and 2019, winning titles in 1988 and 2013.
 
The Bears are 22-0-2 and are making their fourth appearance in the national championship game. WashU won the title in 2016.
 
Fans can follow the action with live video. The match will also be broadcast live by WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).
 
 
ABOUT THE HERONS

• William Smith is led offensively by All-American Ruth Hotaling. She has a team-leading 12 assists and 24 points.
• Hotaling is joined by seniors Lindsay Ringbloom and Marjorie Plants and sophomore Kaleigh Darby with a team-high six goals.
• First-year defender Nell Dwyer has scored three game-winning goals in five NCAA tournament games.
• Goaltender Kirsten Nelson is 17-3-4 this season with a 0.59 GAA and an .839 save percentage. She has 12 shutouts.

• WashU is led by Olivia Clemons who has 48 points on 21 goals and six assists.
• Gracie Ehlert has 14 goals and 29 points.
• Sophie Viscovich has a team-high seven assists on the year.
• Sidney Conner has played the majority of the minutes in goal. She is 20-0-2 with a 0.35 GAA and a .857 save percentage.
