The 21st-ranked Hobart squash team will return to the court Friday, Feb. 16, when it heads to Philadelphia for the 2024 College Squash Association Team Championships. The Statesmen will be the No. 1 seed in the Summers Cup.

This weekend's championship will be hosted at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center. Hobart begins its trophy quest at 9 a.m. against eighth-seeded Hamilton College. The Statesmen's second match of the tournament will be against either No. 25 Dickinson or No. 24 Bowdoin. The match will start on Saturday at 9 a.m. regardless of the results. The Other half of the bracket includes No. 22 Navy, No. 23 St. Lawrence, Bates and Denison. Hobart is 4-2 against the field this season with two 5-4 losses to the Saints. The Statesmen had wins over Hamilton (5-4), Bates (5-4), Navy (7-2) and Denison (6-3).

Hobart and Hamilton have played 77 times. The Statesmen lead the series 45-32, including four straight wins.

The Statesmen enter the team championships fresh off a third-place finish at the Liberty League Championships. Hobart is led by first-year
Dhirren Rajarathinam who is 15-1 overall this season. He has won 11 straight matches and is 9-0 at the No. 2 spot. Senior
Omar Kiwan is second on the team with 11 wins. He has a 7-1 record in the No. 3 spot.
Hussein Labib has played all 17 matches at the No. 1 spot in the lineup.

The Statesmen have won four trophies at the CSA Championships. They won the Summers Cup in 1989-90 and the Conroy Cup in 2006-07, 2011-12 and 2021-22.

Last year, Hobart was 1-2 in the Summers Cup. They beat Bates before losing to Amherst and MIT.
