The William Smith basketball team will be back in action this weekend when it hosts No. 20 Vassar and Union to close out the regular season. Tipoff between the Herons and the Brewers is set for Friday, Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in Bristol Gym.
Saturday's matchup with the Garnet Chargers is set for 2 p.m. with a brief ceremony prior to tipoff to celebrate the 2024 senior class. Senior

ABOUT THE HERONS
- William Smith (6-17, 6-10) is 2-2 in its last four games, including a 74-46 road win over Bard last Saturday.
- Jarvis leads the conference in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game. She is followed by first-year's Amelia McCulley and Miranda Martin with 6.9 and 6.3 points per game, respectively.
- Jarvis grabs a team-leading 8.0 rebounds per game, which is fifth in the Liberty League.
- McCulley (7th) and Jarvis (14th) are ranked in the top-15 in the conference in blocked shots. They have combined for 43 on the season.
- First-year Jazzmyn Lewis (2nd), McCulley (15th) and Jarvis (20th) are all top-20 in the Liberty League in steals. Lewis paces the Herons with 2.0 per game, while McCulley adds 1.3 and Jarvis chips in 1.2 per game.
ABOUT THE BREWERS
- Vassar (22-1, 16-0) is the top-ranked team in the Liberty League and is ranked No. 20 nationally.
- The Brewers have produced three of the top-four scorers in the conference. Sierra McDermed ranks second with 14.3 ppg, while Julia Harvey is third with 14.3 ppg, and Tova Gleb is fourth with 14.0 ppg.
- Gleb is fourth in the conference in rebounding, averaging 9.2 per game.
- McDermed is fifth in the conference in blocking, averaging 1.2 blocks per game while Gleb is fifth in steals with 1.8 per game.
ABOUT THE GARNET CHARGERSÂ
- Union (9-14, 8-8) enters the weekend as the fifth seed in the Liberty League and will head to Rochester on Friday to take on RIT before traveling to Geneva.
- Jelena Perovic leads the team and ranks eighth in the conference in scoring, averaging 12.6 ppg.
- Perovic and Jenna Forman are in the top-10 in the conference in rebounding. Perovic ranks seventh with 7.1 per game, while Forman is in 10th with 6.8 per game.
- The Garnet Chargers have produced two players ranked in the top-10 of the Liberty League in assists. Kennedy Clark (8th) and Grace Arcoleo (10th) have combined for 104 this season.

- William Smith and Vassar will face off for the 52nd time on Friday. The Herons lead the series 36-15, including a 20-4 edge in Geneva.
- When they met earlier this season, Vassar defeated William Smith 75-52 in Poughkeepsie. Jarvis led the team with 15 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
