PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—The 21st-ranked Hobart Squash team defeated 24th-ranked Bowdoin 5-4 this morning to secure a spot in the championship match of the Summers Cup. With the win, the Statesmen advance to tomorrow's final match against Navy.

- Hobart won three of its five matches with 3-0 sweeps.
- Junior Joseph Raskin Lantos clinched the overall victory for the Statesmen. After he dropped the first game, Raskin Lantos won 5-11, 11-3, 11-5, 11-3. It was his seventh win of the season.
- First-year Dhirren Rajarathinam kept up his strong play, knocking off Nick Wilkinson, 11-7, 4-11, 11-5, 11-5. It was his 13th straight win and 17th overall. He is 11-0 at the No. 2 spot.
- Senior Omar Kiwan swept Abhiroop Reddy in 16 minutes. Kiwan won 11-2, 11-6, 11-0. It was his 12th victory of the year.
- Senior Hussein Labib cruised to an 11-6, 11-3, 11-7 win in the No. 1 spot. He beat Jack Winston for his eighth win of the year.
- Junior Roberto Vega bested Neil Bam, 11-4, 13-11, 11-4, in the No. 6 spot. It was his fifth win of the year.
UP NEXT
Hobart will take on Navy for the second time this season. The Midshipmen beat St. Lawrence 6-3 in the other semifinal. Hobart won 7-2 when the teams met in January.
