GENEVA, N.Y.– The No. 29 ranked Hobart tennis team extended its win streak to seven-straight with a 9-0 sweep of Ithaca College this afternoon in a Liberty League matchup. The Statesmen move to 7-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while the Bombers fall to 3-8 overall with a 0-3 mark in the Liberty League.
Hobart cruised through doubles play, winning all three matches over Ithaca. In the No. 1 spot, senior
Sean Pesin and sophomore
Nick Fischer topped Emiliano Pedrero and Gijs Fidler 8-4 to move to 6-4 on the season. Juniors

Troy Steiner cruised to an 8-1 victory over Nicolas Luis and Siddharth Vaada in the No. 2 spot, while junior
Rahul Vallabhajosula and senior
Winter Fagerberg defeated Jacob Wachs and Eric Dubilirer 8-5 in the No. 3 spot to move to 4-1 on the season.
The Statesmen continued to roll in singles action, winning all six matches this afternoon. Pesin clinched the victory for Hobart as he defeated Luis 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot. He is now 5-4 in dual matches and is riding a five-match win streak.
Fischer defeated Fidler 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot for his fifth-straight win in dual matches. First-year
Achilleas Kousaridis continued to impress in singles action and moved to 8-1 on the season after defeating Vaada in the No. 3 spot 6-1, 6-0.
Oyer and Fagerberg both extended their win streaks to six-straight with wins against the Bombers. Oyer defeated Carlos Hernandez 6-1, 7-5 in the No. 4 spot to move to 7-3 on the season, while Fagerberg defeated Ean Lantzy 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 5 spot. He is now 6-3 in dual matches in his senior season.
Junior
Nick Grosso closed out the action for the Statesmen this afternoon with his seventh dual match victory of the season. He defeated Max Sobel 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot to extend his win streak to four straight.
