Zach Tyson '22, MSM '23 will return to the United States this year to continue his professional hockey career. After spending a year in France, the forward recently signed with the Huntsville Havoc for the 2024-25 season.

Tyson played in 112 games over his four seasons in Geneva. He recorded 92 points on 38 goals and 54 assists. He helped the Statesmen to a 90-21-7 overall record, four NCAA tournament selections, two appearances in the national semifinals and the first national championship in program history. During the national championship run in 2022-23, Tyson had 21 points on 11 goals and 10 assists. He was named the 2023 Most Valuable Player of the New England Hockey Conference Tournament.

Tyson had a career-high 27 points on seven goals and 20 assists during his rookie campaign. He matched that as a junior, posting 27 points on 10 goals and 17 assists. He was a three-time NEHC All-Academic selection and was an AHCA All-American Scholar during his senior season.

Last year, Tyson began his professional career playing with Mont Blanc in France's Division I. He played in 18 games, recording 17 points before suffering a season-ending injury. Â

The Havoc play in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Huntsville was 30-19-6-1 in 2023-24 finishing fifth in the league. The SPHL begins its 21st season on October 18.
