Hobart heads to Keystone for final non-conference clash

The Hobart football team will travel to La Plume, Pennsylvania, for its final non-conference game of the season to take on Keystone Saturday, Sept. 28. The opening kickoff is scheduled for noon.
 
The game will be broadcast live on WEOS-FM (89.5/90.3 in Geneva). Live stats will be available on Keystone's website, gokcgiants.com. The Keystone webcast is available on pay-per-view via FloSports, which offers subscriptions for $14.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time.

  • After defeating Moravian 27-12 last week, Hobart had two players earn Liberty League awards.
  • Junior wide receiver Ahmad Crowell was named the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week. He caught four passes for a game-high 130 yards and two touchdowns against the Greyhounds. Crowell's longest reception of the game went for 77 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.
  • Crowell is eighth in the nation in yard per catch, averaging 28.3.
  • First-year wide receiver Johnny Harding was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week. He caught four passes for 48 yards and his first collegiate touchdown.
  • Senior linebacker Jaimen Bliss was named the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll. He made a game-high 12 tackles, including 1.5 for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
 
Close Call
  • Keystone looks to rebound from a 42-40 loss at St John Fisher last week.
  • The Cardinals outgained the Giants 589-497. Both offenses averaged more than 7 yards per play with KC posting 7.8 and SJFU 9.1.
  • The Giants led the Cardinals 27-14 at halftime. In fact, Keystone has led at the half of all three of its games this season.
  • Quarterback Donald Leach III threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns against the Cardinals.
  • Wide receiver Jayson Nami pulled in six passes for a team-high 133 yards and three TDs.
  • Running back Mujaheed Muhammad had 26 carries for 188 yards and a pair of TDs.
